The Observatory of Intuition

During the 1800s, people sought out mystics, mediums, and other practitioners of the strange for what were known as private sittings. These one-on-one consultations were conversational and often employed cards, symbols, and strange instruments.

The Observatory of Intuition recreates this historical tradition.

Rather than focusing on tarot alone, our sittings draw upon a variety of methods and tools associated with this 19th-century practice. Some will be familiar. Others are less common today. This recreation of atmosphere and experience of the Victorian-era private sitting can achieve unexpected results.

The Observatory makes no claim of supernatural power.

There are two ways to experience the Observatory.

Deployments

The Observatory may be installed at weddings, gatherings, festivals, museums, and other unusual events. Guests receive abbreviated Historical Private Sittings throughout the day.

Appointments

Longer, one-hour sittings are available by appointment. These one-on-one sessions may take place at your home or at our location in The Hive Public Market.

Because each event and sitting is conducted individually, availability is limited.
